The first gin made in France inspired by the Cape Route
BARTOLOMEO
Inspired by the Cape Route, Bartolomeo® is a French gin made in the Charente-Maritime region also renowned for its cognac, whose main ingredients come from the spice trade. This unique selection offers a surprising gin: peppery at first, the palette then opens to fresh and expressive citrus aromas. Round and smooth, Bartolomeo® is perfect for mixology. Round and silky, Bartolomeo® expresses itself perfectly in mixology.

THE ROADFROM GIN
The name “Bartolomeo” is a tribute to Bartolomeu Dias, the Portuguese explorer who first rounded the Cape of Good Hope. Ten years later, this major discovery would open the way to the Indies and the resumption of the spice trade.
Coriander, maniguette, angelica root, cardamom and ginger, the main ingredients in these exchanges, are the basis for Bartolomeo®. The addition of combava and Timut pepper to the recipe was thought out and realized with the master distiller to give Bartolomeo® juice the citrus base essential to its perfect balance.
THE BLUE BOTTLE (GIN)
The inspiration for Bartolomeo®‘s decor came from azulejos, the famous earthenware tiles that are so much a part of Portuguese architecture. Geometric and refined, these typical mosaics surround the bottle with a colorful band, while partially revealing its transparency and ocean-blue color. Its stopper, chosen in rough wood and engraved with an astrolabe, recalls the caravel and the instrument for locating by measuring the stars, both symbolic of maritime discoveries and great adventures.
